Headquartered in Milton Ont. Canada, with staff and offices across the country, the CWB Group is accredited by and operates under the authority of, the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) as a Certification Body for the administration of the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) welding-related standards.

CWB Certification

The CWB Group certifies companies, inspection organizations, inspectors, and welding consumables through a review and qualification process to ensure that they meet the requirements for a variety of product and safety codes as well as standards such as CSA W47.1, CSA W47.2, CSA W55.3, CSA W186, CSA W178.1, CSA W178.2 and CSA W48.

CWB Welding Foundation

The CWB Foundation is a national charitable organization dedicated to advancing careers in welding and materials joining. Committed to preparing the future workforce and fostering inclusivity, they collaborate with partners to support the demand for skilled professionals, contributing to North America’s economic prosperity. Their mission is to forge partnerships between industry, education, and government, empowering individuals to pursue careers in skilled trades and technology. Through innovative programs, the CWB Foundation reduces barriers and promotes awareness and access to career exploration, regardless of identity factors or social and financial status.

Government Relations

The CWB Group's Government Relations team advocates for the welding and skilled trades industries by collaborating with federal and provincial governments along with key stakeholders. This initiative supports workforce development through specialized training programs designed to address labour shortages and upskill Canada’s welding workforce.
